Sue and I praise our awesome Heavenly Father who in His love and wisdom put us together with Jan Hartley and supporters to continue doing missionary work in southern Honduras – and wherever He might lead. We spent almost 29 years – June 1968-December 1996 – as church planters with the Southern Baptist International Mission Board – having a wonderful part in our Father’s establishing about 50 new churches.
US volunteer teams had a big part in that blessed work from about 1980 until 1996 when Sue and I returned to the U.S. and began a year of activities leading to retirement, January 1, 1998.
Jan began to visit Honduras as part of Medical-Evangelism Volunteer teams about the time we retired. He felt especially led to help new churches build adequate meeting places, thus encouraging them to fulfill their mission a New Testament churches. He’s gifted in personal evangelism and as an encourager.
Jan’s love for our LORD and people, especially humble Honduran people, is evident.
